How does this even work?And What's a sliding scale?

Sliding scale fees offer so much to our community and patients. 

In addition to providing care for those who cannot pay during FREE CLINIC hours, we offer graduated pricing for those who have financial constraints. 

We trust you-No income verification needed. 

We believe the current insurance system is largely unethical for patients and providers. We also believe there is an element of exploitation in insurance-based medicine. 

All of our treatments as a 501c3 acupuncture clinic are considered DONATIONS. Our regular price is $45 per treatment, with the acupuncturists receiving most of the cost. ALL OF OUR donations go into patient care, clinic maintenance, outreach, and paying our doctors.

For those who are able, the $55 fee sponsors others who have fallen on hard times. We use that extra money to PAY our acupuncturists during free clinic hours and when we treat the community at popular events around Long Beach, CA. 

A lower price fee of $35 is available to those patients who email prior to their appointment- info@urbansalt.org

We offer this because we know it takes a little extra to get by, some months.
